UK: Women’s Aid Makes X-Factor’s Jahmene Douglas Ambassador for Children & Young People

A highlight was when he attended our Empowering Women Awards with his mum Mandy, who is also a fantastic supporter of Women’s Aid and works closely with us. As an Ambassador, Jahmene will work with us to help develop our Youth Board and ensure that the voices of young people are heard, and also be a role model to the many thousands of child survivors of domestic violence that we help every year.”

Jahmene Douglas, Ambassador for Children and Young People, said:
“When you stand on the right mountains you can see the beauty of life. I want to front Women’s Aid and help to make it a mountain of strength, a sanctuary for those who need it and I’m proud to be part of its foundations.”

Jahmene joins fellow Women’s Aid Ambassadors Will Young, Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Bill Ward, Kevin Whately and Charlie Webster, along with Patrons Sarah Brown, Jenni Murray and Julie Walters.
